Energy Minister inspects LPG bases ahead of Eid

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister (ESDM), Sudirman Said conducted a impromptu inspection (sidak) to a number of LPG bases in Jakarta and Bekasi, on Wednesday, July 15. The inspection carried out to review the readiness of ESDM sector ahead of Eid al- Fitr 1436 H.

"We monitored directly from the ground starting from retailers, agents, until SPBG," said Sudirman, in Jakarta, on Wednesday, July 15.

LPG Bases which were inspected located in Rambutan regency, Ciracas regency and Pondok Gede, Bekasi. Sudirman requested that distributors supplied more 3 kg LPG tube in order to meet the needs of the household before and after Eid.

LPG distributors PT Kharisma Purnawira Nugraha Ciracas regency, Anjas Prawira, said that 3 kg LPG tubes in his region was not experiencing the shortages. Although many residents who had returned home, he admitted to still expand the supply of LPG to the needs of people.

"LPGs on here are safe, there's a lot of supplies, not rare," said Anjas.

Not only 3 kg LPG tubes, Anjas claimed 12 kg LPG tubes were free from scarcity. Thus, the supply of LPG to the restaurants could be fulfilled.

"The 12 kg LPG specifically for customer of restaurants, the supply was also safe," he explained.
