REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANAMA -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain condemned the terrorist act that targeted the premises of the Consulate of the Italian Republic in the Arab Republic of Egypt on Saturday, killing one person and wounding others.
It stressed that this terrorist act is contrary to all human and moral values, and is a violation of all international laws and norms, and an infringement of the immunity enjoyed by the premises of diplomatic missions.
The Foreign Ministry extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the relatives and families of the martyr and wishes of speedy recovery to all the injured as a result of this cowardly terrorist act.
It confirmed the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain to all the steps taken by the Arab Republic of Egypt in order to establish security, strengthen stability and achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people for further development and prosperity, as well as its support to the efforts and the positions of the Italian Republic that back the efforts of the international community aimed at defeating and eliminating these terrorist groups.
The Ministry renewed its firm stance in rejecting all forms of terrorism, and called for the intensification of international efforts to eliminate this dangerous scourge which constitutes a continuing threat to security and to peace in the region and the world at large.
