PDIP denies using bribe money for congress in Bali

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The bribery case which ensnared members of the House of Representatives (DPR) from PDIP faction, Adriansyah, was getting longer, because, the legal counsel of businessman of PT Mitra Maju Sukses, Andrew Hidayat stated that the bribe money as help for PDIP congress in Bali.

When it confirmed related to the statement of Andrew Hidayat's attorney, senior politicians of PDIP, Pramono Agung was reluctant to say much.

"Do not ask about Adriansyah, it is not qualified," he said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, on Tuesday, June 30.

Pramono said Adriansyah's case has been handled by the legal process. He was reluctant to give further statements.

"Just ask the Secretary General (of PDIP)," he added.

Previously, the PDIP faction secretary, Bambang Wuryanto also denied if the flow of bribes from Andrew Hidayat on Adriansyah was an aid to PDIP congress. According to Commission VII members of the House of Representatives, the cost of PDIP congress in Bali has been completed before the congress took place.

"If for congress fee it was definitely wrong, because the congress financing has been completed before congress begins," he said.
