REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANAMA -- His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa expressed his grief in the wake of the terrorist attack which targeted a mosque in Kuwait.
"The terror attack which hit Kuwait has saddened us and we felt as if it happened in Bahrain. Kuwaitis are our brethren and their security is inseparable from ours", he said as he visited the majlis of Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.
He paid tribute to the Amir of Kuwait His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who went to the site of the terrorist attack and the mourning venue.
"HH Highness Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a message to the world, depicting the unity of the people of Kuwait, who stand united and will never be defeated by terror", he said.
HRH the Premier exchanged greetings with the majlis attendees on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the importance of preserving social legacies.
He underlined the authentic social values which long characterized Bahrainis, stressing their cohesion, harmony, acceptance of others and correlation between all social segments.
He warned against the mounting dangers which are now threatening our societies, urging alertness and precaution to stave off challenges.
"Extremism, which represents an affront to rational thinking and humanity, is now feeding terrorism", he said, urging all social segments to stand united so as to defeat this heinous scourge.
"The scourge of terrorism can't be defeated unless society is cohesive and assesses reality in a way that transcends categories and religious doctrines so as to realize those who are preying on national security and stability", he said.
The Premier underscored the crucial importance of focusing on the economy and stressed the need to muster the efforts of the Government, the Council of Representatives, the Shura Council and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting the supportive role of the national press.
The Premier stressed firm resolve to continue the march of development and progress unabated in a accordance with a strategy that meets the requirements of the present and the future and ensure citizens are the first beneficiary of the development dividends.
He underlined the need to preserve hard-won achievements and build on development assets to ensure further strides for the coming generations.
The Premier underlined the importance of Ramadan majlisses as a platform that brings all social segments together and disseminates national unity and cohesion so as to thwart any subversive trends.
The Premier warned against any laxity and complacency, stressing the importance of ensuring people?s security and maintain stability, which is the cornerstone of development and progress.
