REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The first hearing of determination suspects of former Makassar Mayor, Ilham Arief Sirajudin by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was postponed. The delay is because KPK, as defendant, did not attend the hearing without explanation.

"KPK is not present. The hearing is postponed until July 1," said Ahmad Kusairi, the single judge, at the hearing in the District Court (PN) of South Jakarta, on Thursday, June 25.

Sirajudin's legal counsel, Jhonson Pandjaitan were questioning the new warrant investigation (sprindik) which issued by KPK against Sirajudin on June 5. "Basically what is the sprindik?" he said, in the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday, June 25.

Until now, Johnson said his client also did not accept the new sprindik which issued by KPK. Johnson also questioned the new sprindik because the documents were using the old document.

Old documents in question, namely, a document at the time of the first pretrial. At that time, Ilham won pretrial.

Therefore, Johnson asserted, the document used by KPK for issuing spirindik was invalid under the first pretrial decision. Johnson also said that KPK has violated the law (UU) because it did not carry out a pretrial ruling.

"Investigation in 2012 was invalid and investigations from 2014 to 2015 were invalid too," said Johnson.
