REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption and Eradication Commission (KPK) admitted no request so far to track presonal wealth of State Intelligence Agency (BIN)'s head candidates, Sutiyoso and military (TNI) commander candidates General Gatot Nurmantyo. The anti-corruption agency expressed his readiness if it was requested by House of Representative (DPR).
"We have not been asked until now, if it is requested, yes we are ready," said Caretaker of Deputy Chairman of KPK Johan Budi when confirmed on Thursday, June 11.
Johan affirmed, if later KPK was asked to track the wealth of Sutiyoso and Gatot, KPK still not in the capacity to give judgment whether the candidates are suitable or not. KPK will only submit results of the findings.
Commission I of House of Representative (DPR) will soon hold a fit and proper test of TNI commander candidate General Gatot Nurmantyo and BIN's head candidate Sutiyoso. Commission I member, Syaifullah Tamliha said, before the fit and proper test, the Commission I will form a team to explore the track record of both candidates.
"We form a clarification team to the National Commission of Human Rights (Komnas HAM) and KPK. To KPK also to know their wealth report, fair or not, when the last reported," he said.
