Angkasa Pura to take anticipation steps for MERS

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- One of entrance to spread the MERS virus in Indonesia could be through airports access. However, steps of PT Angkasa Pura II to prevent the respiratory disease were still unknown.

"Tomorrow, (11/6) we will do coordination meeting with the Airport Authority," said Senior General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura II, Zulfahmi told ROL on Wednesday, June 10, in Tangerang.

So far, PT Angkasa Pura II has not been prepared anticipation steps of the viruses spread that could be transmitted through the air. Whereas, the diseases caused by virus have claimed at least nine people in South Korea.

Meanwhile in South Korea there were already 13 new cases related MERS. Based on data collected, a number of 108 people have been positively infected by MERS.

Due to the spread of the virus, about 2,200 schools have been closed. Several countries have issue travel warning not to visit South Korea.
