REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Selection committee team (Pansel) of leaders candidates of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) until today, June 9, has received 20 names of registrants.

Chairman of selection committee team, Destry Damayanti, said that there was not element of civil society leaders on those 20 names. It is estimated that they will register when the registration deadline was approaching an end.

“Until yesterday afternoon, there were 20 names which registered.  We have not seen (the registrants) from community leaders. Perhaps they will register when approaching registration deadline. We're also trying to encourage them to register," said Destry Damayanti when contacted by ROL on Tuesday, June 9.

The registrants of KPK’s leaders candidates derived from a variety of professions, such as academics, civil servants, law enforcement, employers, and anti-corruption campaigners. "There is also a judge, there is also an anti-corruption activist. There were many,"said Destry.

KPK’s selection committee members, Betti Alisjahbana said similar things when contacted separately. Betti was detailing, so far there was one name whom is police retiree. As a military retiree, said Betti, still no one has signed up, also the names of law enforcement agencies and the Attorney General Office.

"As I recall there were police (retiree). TNI (retiree) has not signed up, yet. So did the prosecutor," said Betti Alisjahbana, on Tuesday, June 9.
