REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Rini Soemarno dismissed Lenny Sugihat from her six-month post as president director of the state-owned logistics agency Bulog.
"The president director of Bulog was dismissed last week. The decision was taken after an evaluation by the Final Assessment Team (TPA)," the ministry's Secretary, Imam Apriyanto Putro, stated here on Monday.
Imam did not further comment on the reason behind Lenny's dismissal from Bulog.
Imam explained that Lenny will receive another assignment from the SOE Ministry as the proxy of the SOE's shareholders.
The ministry's Head of Public Relations Teddy Purnama also confirmed about Lenny's dismissal from the post of Bulog's president director by the ministry.
"If everything goes as per plan, the minister's decree (SK) will be handed today," stated Teddy.
However, Teddy could not ascertain when the SK of dismissal from the SOE Minister Rini Soemarno will be handed over to Lenny.
Officially, Lenny had assumed office as president director of Bulog on January 2, 2015, replacing former president director Sutarto Alimoeso who retired on November 20, 2014.
Before being asked to helm Bulog, Lenny had earlier served as director of the credit risk management company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) since 2006.
Lenny, who began her career at BRI in 1981, graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries of IPB in 1979. She completed an MBA degree in 1993 from the University of Houston, Texas, the United States.
