REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIBINONG -- The agate and handicraft festival in Bogor District, West Java, is aimed to empower the Bogor community in effort to improve their economic condition, according to the operational affairs director of PT Sayaga Wisata Ivan Fadillah.
"The first agate festival will take place here from Sunday (June 7 till June 12, 2015) in a bid to attract tourists to Bogor District," he said here on Sunday.
Ivan also said that his side only aimed to raise the agate transaction in Bogor District, instead of setting a target that will become the company's income.
"There are 40 stands of the agate and handicraft in the festival," he pointed out, hoping that the people can look at and make transactions in the festival.
In addition, he hoped that the exhibition can motivate people to create other ideas to help increase domestic economy.
