REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Nine team of Corruption Eradication Commission Selection Committee (Pansel KPK) declared that they will work as good as possible for the sake of choosing KPK leaders who could be trusted and integrity. It said, the problem of corruption has become a thorny issue and detrimental to the nation.

Chairman of KPK selection committee,  Destry Damayanti said in the ASEAN region, Indonesian is the highest rank of corruption. Therefore, the problem of corruption must be addressed.

"The President affirmed that we should not only do repression but also emphasis on prevention," she told in press conference at the Presidential Palace on Monday, May 25.

According to Destry, President Jokowi conveys that eradication of corruption was a responsibility of all. Thus, all parties must work together to prevent corruption.
