REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The plan of Ministry of religious affairs, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, to unify perspective about Muslim's feast and the first Ramadhan could possibly happen with a condition.

"For example, Muhammadiyah, NU, the government, and Persis (The Islamic union) have to compromize so the date will be agreed on a certain criteria,” said members of the Tarjih and Tajdid PP Muhammdiyah, Marifat Iman, on Monday, May 4.

Furthermore, he explained, if people really understand, there is no problem in determining the difference of Ramadhan 1, Shawwal 1 and Eid al-Adha. Because, in terms of the calculation and the method be used are the same method with different criteria.

"For instance, Muhammadiyah use wujudul hilal method. Meanwhile, the government, NU and Persis are using inkanur rukyat method. That's what I mean about different criteria,” he said.

He added, on the future the problem about Ramadhan 1st, Shawwal 1st, and Eid al-Adha could take the middle road.

"But people sometimes do not understand why we could not unite the dates. Besides, Islam has the different way to understand it, because Islam is rich," he said.
