Bali's exports of textiles up 8.43 percent

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR -- Bali's earned US$5.44 million from the exports of textiles and textile products (TPT) in January 2015, up 8.43 percent from December 2014.

"The export value, however, shrank 18.49 percent from US$6.67 million in January 2014," head of the provincial office of the Central Bureau of Statistics Panasunan Siregar said here on Sunday.

Siregar said TPT exports contributed 14.29 percent to Bali's total export earning of US$38.08 million in January 2015.

Bali's total exports in 2014 reached US$109.99 million, down 9.36 percent from US$121.53 million in the previous year.

Siregar said exports have been made mainly to the United States, Singapore, Australia , China and European countries.
