REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDAR LAMPUNG -- Some students from the Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business, located in Bandar Lampung, Lampung province, will participate in the Passage to ASEAN Program, from February 25 to March 7, in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

"The five students are: Reyndy Hidayah, Evi Novaria, Rossy Nocifera, Marina Casandra, and Teddy Armanda," Rector of Darmajaya Institute Andi Desfiandi noted here on Monday.

He hoped that the students will benefit from the program and enrich their knowledge with regard to academics, local wisdom, cultures, economy, social, and tourism from every country that they visit.

"During the program, the students will learn about the local cultures and social aspects, while expanding international student networks," Andi said, emphasizing that forming networks is important to face the global challenges.

Head of international relation affairs of Darmajaya Rahmalia Syahputri noted that the students will visit the First Media Design School (FMDS), which is the best higher education institution in Singapore.

"At this education institution, the students will learn entrepreneurship skills," she noted, adding that the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Rangsit University in Thailand will also be visited by the students during the course of the program.

During their visit, Indonesian students will showcase the traditional arts and cultures, especially from Lampung, to the ASEAN public.

"This program can facilitate cultural exchanges," Rahmalia added.
