REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday, February 5, afternoon from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta. His visit to Malaysia is a part of three-country trip in ASEAN.
"Jokowi's visit to Kuala Lumpur is to pay Prime Minister Najib Razak's visit to Indonesia during Jokowi's inauguration. So is his visit to Philippines and Brunei Darussalam," Head of State Protocoler, Ahmad Rusdi, said on Thursday, February 5.
President Jokowi will be in Kuala Lumpur from February 5-6. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Najib Razak and visit Malaysian automotive industry. He also plans to meet Indonesian workers in Malaysia.
Jokowi will take off to Brunei Darussalam on February 7. In his two-day visit, he will meet Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and sign bilateral agreement. Jokowi and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah also plan to visit Brunei LNG.
On Sunday, February 8, Jokowi and his entourage will fly to Manila to meet President Benigno Aquino III. Jokowi will sign bilateral agreement as well as meet Indonesians who live in Philippines.
Among his entourage is Coordinating Minister of Economy Sofyan Djalik, Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Hanif Dhakiri, Minister of Trade Rahmat Gobel, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Head of The Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI), Nusron Wahid.
