REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,  JAKARTA -- Bob Sadino sent his last message. It arrived on Monday, January 19, before he passed away. The eccentric businessman who always wore shirt, cowboy hat and short pants wanted to be buried in Jeruk Purut Cemetary in Jakarta. It seemed that he wanted to join his family.

Jeruk Purut Cemetary is the last resting place for the family of the late businessman. "All his family are buried in the cemetary," Ira Pulungan, Bob Sadino's niece, said on Monday.

Ira said that "Om Bob", as he was better known, would be buried on Tuesday, January 20, noon in Jeruk Purut. He left two daughters with four grandchildren. Bob took his last breath in Pondok Indah Hospital at 18:05.

His death was due to complication, Ira said. Bob was treated at the hospital for two weeks. Vice President Jusuf Kalla sent his condolences for the eccentric businessman.

"Innalillahi Wa Innaillaihi Rojiun. Condolences for the passing of Bob Sadino. May you khusnul khotimah and the family is strong," Kalla said in his Twitter account. Other famous names also sent their condolences via Twitter.

Presenter Alvin Adam also sent his grief from his account @alvinadam. He said, "Good bye Om Bob Sadino, the great person who always greeted me first."

Artist Sujiwo Tejo sent his condolence with his signature style. Through account @sudjiwotedjo, he said "Good bye. See you Om Bob, utangRasa."

Om Bob was born in Lampung, March 9, 1933. He was a striving businessman in food and livestock. He owned high-end supermarket networks, Kemchicks and Kemfood.

Om Bob started his business from zero. He didn't get all his money instantly. He struggled to be success.

The little Bob came from a wealthy family. He was the youngest child of five. He was 19 when his parents died and inherited all their wealth.

He got them all as their siblings were already rich. The young Bob spent half of his wealth to travel around the world. He visited Netherland and stayed for nine years.

He worked in Djakarta Lylod in Amsterdam and Hamburg, Germany. When he was in Netherland, he met his wife, Soelami Soejoed. Bob and his family went back to Indonesia in 1967.

He brought his two 60's Mercedes-Benz to Indonesia. He traded one of them with a land in Kemang, South Jakarta. He was willing to work independently.

Bob successfully ran poultry farm and famous supermarket. He expanded his business to agribusiness, especially horticulture. Through his business, he cooperated with local farmers in several regions.

He always believes that every successful step must be started with failure. He wrote his successful story in his book entitled "Kegoblokan Saya".
