"God, thank you for another day that You gave!"

Every day is a miracle.

Every day is a blessing.

Although often we forget that there are so much favor, because what God gave were too.

I remember a dialogue that I heard years ago, when the Sultan get a question from a wiseman.

"Sire, your majesty if you were stranded in the desert for days, no water at all, whereas the majesty needed those days was just a glass of water. If someone comes up with a glass of water, do Excellency want to give one of your palace as a payment?"

Without thinking twice, the Sultan nodded.

"If he demanded half of your wealth, do you still want to redeem it?"

"Of course," said Sultan.

"But if he wants to swap a glass of water with all of your wealth, do you mind?

"Yes, certainly," said the Sultan once again without a doubt.

The adviser smiled,

"Is not it ironic, all your great struggles and achievements, his Excellency is willingly to exchange it with a glass of water!"

Ah, the king now understands what his advisors want to say. Every moment in our lives should be celebrated thankfully. Yes, every day we breathe free air. Daily, average human did inhalation of about 2,800 liters of oxygen and 11 thousand liters of nitrogen. If only we had to buy it, in the market, the cost of which should be paid for oxygen is usually Rp. 25 thousand while for nitrogen Rp 9,950 per liter.

If all the needs of our air every day were counted, it will reach a total of Rp. 179,450.000 and Rp. 5 billion a month. This means that God gave us 5 billion every month to fulfill our needs in breathing.

If only our kidneys do not function normally, and we had to make a dialysis of at least 8 times a month, you can calculate the amount of money we should spend if every dialysis should be paid at around one million rupiah.

What about the heart? If it does not function normally and someone should put the ring or balloon on it then the cost could reach hundreds of millions.

After calculating it, it feels that our money will never be enough. But all were forgotten because we got it without a struggle, purely as a gift from God. Only experts-to-say-tanks will wisely utilize the gift of God.

God has given us a lot; at least it’s a time to do so much goodness as per his command?

Year 2014 has just passed. Have we fill last year with full of gratitude by using of all the facilities that God gave us for our goodness?

Have our eyes used for good? For seeing the useful things, watching the evocative, looking at the situation around.

Have our steps that we walked only in the positive direction? Visiting place of worship, or opening the doors of goodness.

Have our hands used only for the goodness? Is our hand used to sign good projects or the bad ones? Is our hand used to protect or destroy?

Did our work support the goodness? Our writing, artistic, work, are they for goodness. If only we had not been able to do something, have we support other work that supported all goodness?

Days in 2015 are in our front to be seen. Is there any goodness we wish to get in the 2015's? What we want to achieve?

Never forget, there will be so much goodness that God will give, remember at all times, so that ourselves would be hasten to do good thing and not to be negligent to the mandate given by Allah. Because, if you only pursue of the world, it could be worth only a glass of water.
