REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The House of Representatives (DPR) agreed in its plenary session on Thursday to postpone the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leadership election to replace Busro Muqoddas, a House leader stated.
The election of the successor to Busro Muqoddas will be carried out simultaneously with the election of other leaders to succeed four outgoing KPK leaders, noted a House Deputy Taufik Kurniawan after chairing a plenary meeting.
Earlier, House Commission III Chairman Azis Syamsuddin stated that the commission had processed a request by the government regarding the nomination of two successor candidates. The two candidates are expected to be selected to succeed Busro Muqoddas whose term in office will end soon.
