REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- Possessing huge potential and supported by qualified human resources, the East Java provincial city of Surabaya is ready to become the nation's creative industrial center, stated Mayor Tri Rismaharini.

"Surabaya has great potential and qualified human resources, and my dream of making the city the nation's creative industrial center will soon come true," the mayor affirmed here on Wednesday (7/1).

She noted that the potential of Surabaya's creative industry is huge as it is supported by several reputed universities and vocational schools for this sector.

"With the magnitude of support, I believe the city will become the home base of the creative industry and will attract more young people to study about this sector," the mayor remarked.

Rismaharini expressed optimism that the creative industry in Surabaya will increase by 100 percent as a result of industrial development in the city.
