REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Korean government is coordinating with the Indonesian government by sending an aircraft to assist in the ongoing search for the missing AirAsia QZ8501, the Korean Embassy's Media Attach? Rezky Seokgi Kim stated here, Sunday (29/12).
Officials at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia remarked that the staff members were praying for the safety of all passengers aboard AirAsia QZ8501, which lost contact with air traffic controllers on Sunday, December 28, 2014.
"The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has confirmed that there were three Korean passengers aboard the plane. We are very thankful for the information given by the government of Indonesia," Kim noted.
The embassy has expressed hope that the search and rescue team will be able to trace the location of the missing aircraft and bring to safety the passengers and crew.
