Ahok plans to use Jakarta's budget to help other provinces

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or known as Ahok plans to grant remaining local budget to help other provinces. The funds, he said, could be used to build transportation and other public facilities.

"For instance, we can build an airport in Karawang," Ahok said on Thursday, November 27. He denied accusation that his plan beyond his territory. 

"It is just about money," he said.

Jakarta Provincial Government still has remaining budget. Ahok said that he was undecided on how to spend the budget. "Instead for meetings, I prefer to use the money to help other cities," he said.
