REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BEIJING -- President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo told CEOs attending Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum that he would ease land acquisition. The governor turned president asked the investors not to worry about the issues.
"I have experiences on land acquisition," he said on Monday, November 10. Without a text, he explained that he needed only four meetings to finish the land acquisition of toll road in Jakarta. The project was suspended before he was appointed as Governor of Jakarta.
During the forum, he explained that Indonesia was a land of opportunity as the country still needed to build infrastructure, such as toll roads, ports, railways and also energy. "We are waiting for you to invest in Indonesia," said Jokowi closing his presentation. The CEOs were seen interested on talking with Jokowi after he finished his presentation.
