REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ukraine welcomes the appointment of Retno Marsudi as Indonesia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador of Ukraine to Indonesia Volodymyr Pakhil said here on Sunday (26/10).
"We have been looking forward to this appointment with much anticipation. Retno Marsudi is a career diplomat well-versed in European affairs. We expect bilateral relations between Ukraine and Indonesia to reach a new level of development," said the ambassador.
President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has announced 34 names of his new cabinet ministers. A career diplomat Retno Marsudi was appointed as the Foreign Affairs Minister. Retno was Indonesian ambassador to the Netherlands before she was appointed as a minister. Retno is the first-ever woman diplomat who becomes Indonesia's foreign minister.
