REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - A number of potential ministers-to-be started visiting the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Sunday, ahead of the planned announcement at 04.00 pm. Some of them showed up since 9.00 am for briefing with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
The ministers-to-be were asked to change their outfit with white long sleeved shirts handed by the Palace staff. Among them were head of Board of Supervisors Finance and Development (BPKP) Mardiasmo and Director Grneral of Land Use at Ministry of Public, Works Basuki Hadi Muljono.
According to Mardiasmo, he received a phone call and was asked to pick white long sleeved shirt at the Palace. He visited the Palace at 9.00 am then returned at 01.40 pm wearing the shirt. Rumor said that Mardiasmo would be appointed as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance.
While Muliono was rumored to be appointed as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing. "I picked this (white shirt) at 09.00 am," Muliono said, he returned to the Palace in the afternoon.
