REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono hopes Democratic Party's cadres who sit in Parliament to be good in politics. According to him, Democratic Party must rise up like before.

"Do not take the wrong way to achieve political goals. Bad ways in politic make our life becoming unpeaceful afterlife. But, if we play good politics, the God will always help," Yudhoyono said recently.

One of cadres from Papua, Willem Wandik said that he had good memories about Yudhoyono's leadership, who helped Papuan people in the field of food and health, such as raskin rice program, cash assistance for people with disabilities, PNPM Mandiri and micro credit support program (KUR) in the last 10 years.

"I hope the new government can continue to put attention for Papuan welfare," Wandik said.

Wandik hopes that Presiden Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla to add pro-people program that can help Papuan people.
