REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to visit the Military Academy of Magelang, his alma mater, in Central Java, on Friday, October 17.
The Head of Information and Public Relations of the Military Academy, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry T. Gultom, said here on Wednesday that during the visit, the president would meet the ranks of the Military Regional Command IV/Diponegoro and other invited guests.
Yudhoyono will also inaugurate the Pavilion 5 Museum located within the Military Academy complex. The museum will showcase some of the equipment Yudhoyono had used during his time at the academy.
President Yudhoyono was adjudged the best graduate in his 1973 batch at the Military Academy.
"As the best cadet (of his batch), he had the right to stay in the pavilion, which is now being turned into the Pavilion 5 Museum," Gultom remarked.
