REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Many National Awakening Party (PKB) cadres, expected to be nominated as ministers in the government of president-elect Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, have undergone the internal fit-and-proper test, said a party official.
"More than four cadres of the party have undergone the internal fit-and-proper test in order to be nominated as Jokowi's cabinet ministers," PKB politician Eko Putro Sandjojo said on Monday.
He remarked that though Jokowi has not asked the political parties to nominate their candidate ministers, the fit-and-proper test was conducted as a formality prior to proposing the names of the prospective ministers.
Eko, the deputy of the Jokowi-JK transition team, said Jokowi will choose his independent ministers from a list of 200 candidates he has selected.
