Migme and Trikomsel to expand market

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Social chatting and gaming application for feature phones, Migme has grown to become a mobile entertainment platform. Company plans to expand market by collaborating with PT Trikomsel Oke Tbk, Indonesia's largest retailer of mobile devices.

Migme - previously known as Mig33 - assessed that Indonesia was one of important smartphone markets in the world with more than 250 million costumers and 50 million mobile users, who were active in social media. Migme will have access to 1,200 stores of Oke Shop and Global Teleshop, which are in Trikomsel distribution network throughout Indonesia.

Migme networks can be expanded by involving the dealership networks in 15,000 spots in the country. Trikomsel will get additional income shares and new platform by utilizing its distribution network.

"We can get the value of virtual goods, services and advertisements used by Migme's platform. We will give reward in form of revenue sharing to our partners," CEO of Migme, Steven Goh said.

Trikomsel has sold more than one million mobile phones every month, including top brands, like Samsung, Apple, LG, Lenovo and BlackBerry. President Director of Trikomsel, Sugiono Wiyono said that his company had close relationship with Migme.

"We are interested on Migme's android platform. We hope to help them in developing their distribution in Indonesia," Wiyono.
