REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta will host the 29th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) building next October 8-12, the Trade Ministry's Director General for National Export Development Nus Nuzulia Ishak said Thursday.
The trade expo this year will feature various Indonesian products which have been exported abroad such as crude palm oil, textile and rubber apart from electronics, wood, furniture and chemical products. Metal products, machinery, processed food and jewellery along with plantation products, spices and automotive products will also be featured, according to Ishak. There would also be products from ASEAN countries, Ishak added.
"We also have an electric guitar made of bamboo which has become famous around the world. There are also other prime products such as a military rubber boat with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)'s standard and premium battery for cars," Ishak said.
The Trade Expo Indonesia 2014 will see 2,000 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
