REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Boediono paid a surprise visit to the Central Jakarta immigration office and the office of the city land administration on Wednesday.
The vice president arrived at the immigration office at 9.30 a.m. local time. He travelled with a small cavalcade of escort vehicles and even the path leading to the office was not completely secured.
The vice president questioned the officials at the public service section about the process, requirements, costs, and the duration of making a passport.
Boediono also took time out to speak with the people who were present at the immigration office and asked them about the quality of service.
In the company of Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi, the vice president then visited the Central Jakarta office of city land administration.
At the city land administration office, Boediono asked the people who were present to get their land certificates about the service and cost.
