REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YAOUNDE -- The Cameroonian government has decided to close its border with Nigeria to prevent the spread of Ebola from the neighboring country.
Issa Tchiroma Bakary, government spokesperson who is also the communication minister, told Xinhua by phone, "We are on the way to close the border with Nigeria because of Ebola."
Bakary didn't say when the border will be closed.
According to the latest report, there is no case of Ebola ever found in the central African country which shares a border with Nigeria for around 2000 kilometers.
Ebola, which broke out in Guinea in March and spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, has claimed over 1000 lives.
