REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State owned Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) deployed 125 homecoming buses for 6,000 customers. This free homecoming titled 'Ngebuzz Bareng BRI' started at North Plaza, Bung Karno Stadium on Thursday. BRI Corporate Secretary, Budi Satria said that this event had been carried out every year since 2004.

"Today, we facilitate more than 6,000 of travelers using 125 executive buses to several cities in Java, such as Surabaya, Blitar, Pati, Yogyakarta and Wonogiri," Satria said on Thursday.

The travelers consisted of BRI customers, including the debtors. BRI micro loans' (KUR) debtors reached 10.4 million customers with transaction value more than 102.5 trillion IDR per June 2014. The value grew more than 3.2 trillion IDR compared to May 2014. The total debtors rose more than 246,000 debtors.

"KUR loans are prudent, because non-performing loans (NPL) level is still at 2.48 percent. BRI also maintained its business continuity because the KUR debtors would become the embryo of commercial credit. It means, most of these enterpreneurs will become stronger and bankable," Satria added.

In 2014 homecoming event, BRI also facilitates 40 migrant workers' customers from six countries, namely Malaysia (20 people), Hong Kong (10 people), Saudi Arabia (1 person), UAE (6 people), while the rest from Korea and Taiwan.
