REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMANGGI -- Two suspect teachers of Jakarta International School (JIS), Canadian Neil Batleman and Indonesian Ferdinant Tjiong underwent examination at Women and Children Center for nine hours. In the end, the investigators decided not to repatriate JIS teacher suspects for the alleged sexual assault of a kindergarten pupil.

"They can be repatriated, but investigators use its authority to ask them to stay for 24 hours," JIS lawyer, harry Ponto said in Jakarta recently.

JIS subjected to legal proceedings and supporting the investigators. Ferdinant is 1st grade teacher's assistant, so there was nothing to do with kindergarten children. Neil is a teacher who has just become a learning leader to assist the principal.

"There are a lot of questions about this. We do not know if tomorrow will be immediately arrested. They should be available for 24 hours," Ponto added.

Lawyer of JIS teachers, Hotman Paris Hutapea said that there would be a determination of whether the two suspects would be detained or not after 24 hours.

Each of them should answer 20 questions. The suspect is still asking where is the evidence until today. According to Hotman, the investigators could not show him even one piece of evidence.

Head of Public Relations at Jakarta Police, Comr Rikwanto said that investigators had conducted a case reconstruction when examining the two JIS teachers. Based on the result, the two suspects must be detained.
