REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, RIYADH -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullateef Al-Zayani strongly condemned on Friday evening the repeated Israeli aggressions on Palestinian people.
"These brutal aggressions are part of the policy of collective punishment being pursued systematically by the Israeli occupation authorities against the sons of Palestine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip," he said in a statement.
Dr. Al-Zayani said the Israeli air attacks on Gaza Strip, and the incursions into Palestinian homes and arbitrary arrests in the West Bank are a flagrant violation of the international law.
On the kidnap and murder of the Palestinian teenager Mohammad Abu Khudair by Jewish settlers last Wednesday, the GCC chief said it is "a horrific crime" that must be punished, otherwise it could result in more violence and bloodshed.
Dr. Al-Zayani urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to shoulder their responsibility and step in to protect the Palestinians against the Israeli daily atrocities.
