REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a limited cabinet meeting on Thursday about political, legal and safety. He discussed the security on post-election day, July 9, 2014.
In his speech, President warned the turmoil possibility after the Election Day. He insisted that he did not want the action destroying the journey and the maturity of democracy in Indonesia.
"I do not want the action, the violent, the destructive acts or vigilante wherever it comes from," he said on Thursday as reported by Esthi Maharani.
Yudhoyono asked the Police and Military to prepare for a national task, the entire election should run peacefully, safely, orderly, smoothly and democratic.
"The election authority (General Election Commission/ KPU) has an important role. But, if we talk about the security and the protection, the Police and Military should be in front," he added.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Boediono, the three Coordinating Ministers, Military Commander and chief of state officials.
