Analyst: Presidential campaign a concern for investors

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Investors have become very concerned about the presidential campaign in the next general election. They considered that it will have an impact on stock market fluctuation in this country.

Head of Research in Valbury Asia Securities, Alfiansyah said that a number of ministers and government officials, such as governor and regent submitted leave permission letter. It will disrupt the performance of central and local government.

"The political condition gives the uncertainty for investors. There will be a move varies at Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) this week," Alfiansyah said on Friday.

CSPI at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday opened down slightly 0.18 points at 4935.38, while the LQ45 index weakened 0.12 points at 832.55. Meanwhile at 09.35 AM, IDX index reversed to positive area, higher by 8.80 points at 4944.34.
