REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited Philippines in two day working visit. According to him, Indonesia and Philippines have a close relationship and both countries are also members of ASEAN and international organizations.
Yudhoyono explained that this meeting was important to remind all parties about global economic condition, which was still unsafe. He will be a speaker in World Economic Forum on East Asia (WEFEA).
"I will use this forum to build cooperation, investment and trade, also other economic cooperations," Yudhoyono said before leaving Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta on Thursday.
Yudhoyono's foreign affairs spokesman, Teuku Faizasyah said that a number of state officials would present in the forum, especially from Asia Pacific region.
President's speech is expected to explain condition of various developments in Indonesia, particularly the implementation of sustainable growth with equity.
Yudhoyono is also expected to encourage business cooperation and investment with CEOs who attended the WEFEA event. Esthi Maharani/Mutia Ramadhani
