REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners, Muliaman D Hadad said that banks must prepare their infrastructures to counter cyber crimes. Those infrastructures are human resources, credible control system, and monitoring system while they also must work hand in hand and share any information on fraud case.

"Cyber crimes keep occurring in various types and sometimes unexpectedly," Hadad said on Tuesday.

On the other hand, banks must raise their customers awareness on banking's information and technology.

State of The Internet's report in 2013 recorded that Indonesia was on the second place among five major countries where cyber attacks launched. Indonesia accounted for 36.6 million cyber crime attacks within the last three years. Security Threat's report (2013) also said that Indonesia was considered to be the country with most risks for cyber crime attacks.
