REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State owned Bank Mandiri recorded an increase in electronic banking (e-banking) transaction up to 19.2 trillion IDR in the first quarter of 2014, grew 30 percent compared to last year. President Director of Bank Mandiri, Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that company would continue to improve e-banking business, especially to meet costumer's need in payment convenient.
Retail costumers contributed 53 percent or 10.2 trillion IDR to total transaction value. The bank has put more than 240,468 Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machines at various outlets and payment locations in the first quarter of the year. It increased 24 percent compared to 194,297 EDC machines in March 2013.
Bank Mandiri has also issued 3 million credit cards, 10 million debit cards and 3.6 million prepaid cards.
