REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEOUL -- State owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina participated at 2014 Gastech Conference and Exhibition in South Korea started on Monday. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina's subsidiary, PT Nusantara Regas, Susilawati D Natawilaga said that it was company's existence at global level.
"Pertamina represents Indonesian government in this event, like government to government (G to G) meeting," Natawilaga said on Monday as reported by Elba Damhuri.
Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, Yoon Sangjik explained that growth of gas industry would rise and many countries in East and Southeast Asia felt the benefit. Liquefied natural liqufied (LNG) is entering a new golden era. Gas producers and consumers are expected to take advantages of this new era.
"Demand for natural gas continues to rise and its production goes up," Yoon said.
The new golden rea of oil and gas industry must be used quickly, including by doing various revolutions and innovations related to gas pricing structure and its contracts. As the second largest gas producer in the world, South Korea is interested to change gas business structure.
