REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMARANG -- Indonesia's furniture industry is in need of banking and government support to be part of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC 2015), according to Central Java's
Processed Timber Entrepreneurs Association Of Indonesia spokesman Wiradadi Soeprayogo.
"We are not fully prepared for the AEC 2015 because some of us still need banking and government support," he clarified here on Monday.
According to him, only a few banks provide loans to furniture entrepreneurs for fear of bad credit.
"They think that there will be a lot of problems in furniture business because of the availability of limited raw materials, while in reality, the entrepreneurs no longer rely on teak wood," Wiradadi explained.
