Taiwan seeks business cooperation in Yogyakarta

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - Economic and Trade Office of Taiwan is exploring cooperation with local government of Yogyakarta in business sectors. Local govenment will serve the Taiwanese companies to invest in Yogyakarta, including in terms of licensing.

"We hope this cooperation can give mutual benefits for both sides," Deputy Governor of Yogyakarta, Paku Alam IX said recently.

Head of Cooperation and Investment (BKPM) in Yogyakarta, Dominicus Supratikno said that Taiwan delegations were impressed with the human resources in Yogyakarta. He hopes the meeting can be followed up later with investment realization.

A member of Economic and Trade Office of Taiwan, Chio said that his visit to see Yogyakarta and invite the Governor to work together in business sectors. For example, furniture products, such as tables and chairs of Yogyakarta have good quality. Many of these products are exported to Taiwan.
