70 percent of online shopping customers in Indonesia are women

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Women - as can be guessed - are like shopping, not only at mall or other shopping centers, but also in online shops. According to a survey that was carried out by www.bilna.com, about 70 percent of its customers who bought baby products from online stores over the past year are women, while the rest are men.

The founder of Bilna.com, Eka Himawan said that about 60 percent of women aged 25 to 34 years, 20 percent of them aged 18-24 years, while the rest aged 35 to 65 years.

Majority of customers or 61 percent of them located in Jakarta, while the rest were spread outside Java. Women are like to buy diapers. They are always spending diapers up to 400 thousand IDR.
