Bali deports 44 tourists due to visa violations

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Head of Department of Immigration at Ngurah Rai, Yudanus Dekiwanto said 44 tourists have been deported in 2012. "Most of them have business related matters in Bali but they misused short stay visa and mostly overstayed," he said on Tuesday.

Many foreign tourists violated the residence permit and work permit then their deadline passed. Dekiwanto explained that nine of 44 deported tourists were from Australia. Then, seven people other were from Iran and five people from Germany. The rest were from Nepal, the United States, Japan, Eritrea, the United Kingdom and India.
