REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) records the highest profit of 3.07 billion USD or 32.05 trillion IDR. This profit rose 11 percent compared to 2.77 trillion USD or 25.94 trillion IDR in 2012.
President Director of Pertamina, Karen Agustiawan said that company had maintained a positive financial performance in the last five years.
"This net profit is supported by positive growth of oil and gas production and also commercial business of oil and gas," Agustiawan said recently as reported by Elba Damhuri.
Pertamina's net profit increased up to 97 percent compared to 1.55 billion USD in 2009. However, the company still suffered a loss of 5.7 trillion IDR in non-subsidized LPG 12 KG.
Pertamina has held a general meeting to approve its annual report. The operational performance and financial, good corporate governance and some other performance were in stable condition.
In the age of 56, Pertamina continues to transform to be a world class national energy company. The company must grow healthy, transparently and ready to compete global business field.
Pertamina has produced 465,220 barrels oil and gas per day (bopd) in 2013 compared to 461,630 bopd in 2012. The increase was also followed by the addition of oil and gas reserve reached 237.31 million bopd during 2013.
