Angkasa Pura to develop Silangit Airport in North Sumatra

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The state airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II and the North Tapanuli district government in North Sumatra have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop Silangit airport.

The MoU served as a reference for both sides to develop the airport located near Lake Toba under a strategic partnership scheme, PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Tri S. Sunoko said in a press statement released on Monday.

Under the MoU, the North Tapanuli district government agreed to provide land for the construction of the airport, he said.

In the first phase of cooperation, PT Angkasa Pura II will build a 2,250x30 meter runway at a cost of Rp192 billion.
