Bosowa starts LPG terminal construction in Banyuwangi

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bosowa Group officially starts the construction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal in Banyuwangi, East Java. CEO of Bosowa, Erwin Aksa, said that PT Bank Mega Tbk. Injected investment worth 787 billion IDR for the project.

The project is owned and managed by the company's subsidiary, PT Misi Mulia Petronusa. Aksa hopes the project will be completed in two years.

"If God's willing, it will be completed in 22 months," Aksa said on Wednesday.

LPG terminal is built on nine hectares land, where Bosowa Group also built a cement plant. Aksa is optimistic that the LPG business had a good prospect because  his company has  signed agreement with state owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina.

The LPG terminal will have jetty facility with capacity of 6,500 deadweight tonnes (dwt), also four LPG tanks with capacity of 2,500 metric tonnes (mt) each, six units of filling sheds, control room and some other facilities. The terminal will accomodate 10 thousand mt of LPG to be distributed to East Java and Bali.
