REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian senior soccer team underwent short exercise prior to the last match of the 2015 Asian Cup qualifier against the host Saudi Arabia on March 5.

Secretary to the All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Joko Driyono said here on Monday that the Indonesian senior soccer team will undergo the exercise on February 25.

"With such schedule there will be no trial match," Joko said, adding that the Indonesian team will be led by its coach Alfred Riedl.

The short exercise and the absence of trial match were aimed at making preparations for the AFF Cup 2014.

Joko also believed the senior national team has so far only collected one point from five matches in Group C, so there is no opportunity to enter the 2015 Asian Cup finals.

Alfred Riedl will call 40 to 45 players and will undergo national training, Joko added.
