REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian export value to Egypt during January to October 2013 increased slightly by 1.31 percent or 870.4 million USD compared to 859.10 million USD in 2012. Indonesian Trade Attaché in Cairo Embassy, Fetnayeti Winarko explained that Trade Ministry targeted export growth of three percent this year or 1.01 billion USD.
Total trade cooperation between Indonesia and Egypt during the period reached 940.26 million USD, lower than 946.64 million USD in previous year. However, the figure remains a surplus for Indonesia due to Indonesian import from Egypt in January to October 2013 reached only 69.86 million USD, lower than 81.54 million USD in previous year.
Trade cooperation was dominated by non-oil commodities. Fetnayeti said that Indonesia products were dominated by refrigerators and TVs, motor vehicles, carbon paper, cocoa butter, pencils, stationery and tea.
