REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to take Bank Century case to the Court in the end of January 2014. It is related to the provision of short term financing facility to Century and the determination of Century as a failed bank with systemic impact.

"We expect the inspection process to be completed in middle of January and then raised to the Court," Deputy Chairman of KPK, Bambang Widjojanto recently.

KPK received on Monday audit results of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding state loss due to the provision of short term financing facility worth 689.3 billion IDR. The determination of Century as failed bank with systemic impact also caused state loss worth 6.7 trillion IDR.

"Currently, Commission is studying BPK audit reports, that is recently submitted. The next process, we will communicate with investigators and prosecutors before the first process is done," Widjojanto said.

There are 94 witnesses examined by KPK. KPK has set Budi Mulya (former Deputy Governor of BI) as a suspect and has been detained since November 15, 2013. Mutia Ramadhani/Antara
